Urge local councils to stop nurse practitioner layoff

Urge local councils to stop nurse practitioner layoff

On April 2, the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit will terminate its nurse practitioner (NP) services. The NP is currently providing prenatal and postnatal services to mothers and babies, and the health unit plans to transition the NP’s clients to other doctors and midwives in the area. The NP serves clients who have trouble accessing services for a variety of reasons. They are consequently vulnerable.

Send a message to local council members calling on them to rescind the layoff

Copies will be sent to:

  • Mayor Ken Hewitt
  • Mayor Charlie Luke
  • Councillor Doug Brunton
  • Councillor Bernie Corbett
  • Councillor Tony Dalimonte
  • Councillor Harold Sonnenberg
  • Councillor John Wells
