Objectives:

• To situate interprofessional research teams within the current field of health care research.
• To provide insight into process of research within an inter-professional research team.
• To discuss how professionals from various disciplines cooperate during conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation of research.
• To present an example of an inter-professional collaboration for an intervention study in long-term care.
