Social Media Use: What Nurses Need to Know Webcast

Apr 25, 2018, 5:30pm - 7:00pm
About this Event:

As a member of a regulated health profession, nurses also need to consider all of the implications of social media for their profession, including their accountabilities to the CNO.
It is essential for every nurse employed in Ontario to consider the possible impact of their online lives and their social media communications for the workplace and their profession.  We will look at various cases where professionals have faced sanctions as a result of social media.

During this presentation, participants will examine their social media accountabilities as a regulated health professional accountable to the CNO; as an employee accountable to their Employer; and as a nurse accountable to their patients.
