Part 3

Ontario health teams are being introduced by the provincial government to provide an integrated model for organizing and delivering care that wraps around patients in their local communities.

Under Ontario Health Teams (OHTs), health-care providers including nurses, doctors and others will work as one coordinated team. Mandatory sectors for OHTs include primary care, hospitals and home care.

RNAO has been very involved with government and with several OHT applicants by providing letters of support to those who are Best Practice Spotlight Organizations (BPSO) and are now supporting selected ones which wish to integrate RNAO’s BPGs and BPSO to their full OHT.

We have kept members well informed through our CEO Conversations with Members in the RNJ and also through webinars. Our goal is our members be fully informed and active within their work setting. With that goal in mind RNAO is hosting this webinar with RNAO’s CEO Doris Grinspun.
