This is a one day virtual event for nurse practitioners (NP) to network, engage and learn. We will explore topics related to policy, clinical practice, quality improvement (QI) and patient safety, leadership, and research.
The objectives of the institute are to:
- discuss and debate learnings from COVID-19 for NP practice and health system performance;
- build leadership and advocacy skills to drive meaningful policy and practice changes;
- exchange knowledge and expertise on clinical and client care issues of relevance to NP practice; and
- facilitate sharing of NP research and QI activities.

RNAO member exclusive sessions
RNAO members are invited to join two member exclusive sessions at our NP Virtual Institute.
Session one from 9:15 – 10:00 a.m. features Matthew Anderson, president and CEO of Ontario Health for a presentation titled "A year into COVID-19: Looking back, looking forward to next steps on health system transformation."
Session two from 10:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. featuring Associate Chief Justice Frank N. Marrocco, lead commissioner of Ontario's Long-Term Care (LTC) Commission, will focus on lessons learned from COVID-19 for the LTC sector and will be followed by a response panel of LTC leaders and front-line perspectives.
