This webinar is intended for nurses, nursing students and educators who manage multiple IV infusions administered in clinical settings such as critical care, medical and paediatric units. The overall goal of this event is to highlight the importance of multiple IV infusion safety on patient health outcomes and to offer strategies and education to help reduce IV infusion errors.
This session will focus on the significance of multiple IV infusion safety and its educational implications for nursing practice. The webinar will provide you with insight on recent research on multiple IV infusion therapy safety and provide an overview of interactive training tools (e-learning modules) available to nurses and organizations to help improve their management of multiple IV infusions in clinical practice

- Risks associated with the administration of multiple IV infusion therapy and in particular, secondary IV infusions and shared infusion volume
- Current evidence on multiple IV infusion safety
- Current best practices on multiple IV infusion safety
- Interactive training tools (e-learning modules) available through RNAO to support nurse training on multiple IV infusion therapy
