About this Event:

The League of Excellence for Long-Term Care webinar series was created by the Long-Term Care (LTC) Best Practices program. The webinar is designed for directors of care and other nurses in formal leadership roles in Ontario long-term care homes.

The League of Excellence for LTC is designed to enhance LTC leaders' ability to integrate, evaluate and sustain evidence-based programs and quality improvements in long-term care homes by offering participants opportunity to:

  • integrate and sustain evidence-based practices in Ontario LTC required programs and care and services program;
  • foster an evidence-based practice culture;
  • integrating evidence-based practices into policies to support organizational change legislative requirements, inspection protocols and quality improvement plans (QIP); and
  • support ongoing monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of programs and services.

During this course, participants will:

  • learn practical approaches to integrating and sustaining best practices in Ontario LTC required, care and service programs and QIPs;
  • share strategies for creating and sustaining a culture of evidence-based practice in LTC
  • discuss methods for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Ontario LTC required, care and service programs and QIPs; and
  • participate in focused dialogue on key emerging issues impacting Ontario LTC homes.

Registration is limited to one person per registration fee. Upon registration, the registered attendee is agreeing to be contacted by an RNAO Long-Term Care Best Practice Coordinator (which corresponds to their LHIN).

Registration fee covers the five sessions in the webinar series. Related materials for each session will be provided electronically.
