Nov 15, 2016, 2:00pm - 2:45pm
About this Event:

Urinary incontinence and constipation are some of the most common challenges older adults face in LTC homes. This webinar will provide information on implementing toileting programs that meet the resident's needs and promote continence. The resources/tools in the toolkit will support staff to promote the highest level of continence.

Long-term care staff will build general core competencies to integrate evidence-based practice into resident care.

The toolkit provides evidence-based strategies for development of policies, procedures, educational programs, assessment, and documentation tools.

This webinar is intended for long-term care leaders facilitating practice change and direct care staff who will benefit from reviewing the recommendations, the evidence that supports the recommendations and the process to implement evidence-based practices.

During this course, participants will learn how to:

  • navigate through the LTC Toolkit to access the continence care and bowel management topic
  • integrate evidence-based strategies for enhancing the health care experience
  • support program planning, implementation and evaluation
