Mobile Technology Course

The Mobile Technology eLearning course provides an understanding on how mobile technology is used to influence health and support nurses in various practice settings in an informative and interactive format and is presented in two modules:

Module 1: Mobile Technology in Health Care
This module describe various strategies nurses use to incorporate mobile technology into practice and the current state of receptivity toward the use of mobile technologies within healthcare. It also outlines the functionalities of mobile devices from a multidimensional perspective, including how these technologies can be used to both assist the nurse, and the client and explains how mobile technology may assist in making the nursing role more efficient and productive.

Module 2: Mobile Technology & Health Education
This module provides ease of access to important ethical, privacy, and confidentiality perspectives related to the use of mobile devices to various health education tools such as clinical illustrations, slide shows, patient handouts, RNAO Best Practice Guidelines, and video clips through the use of your mobile device. It also demonstrates how mobile technologies can be used to enhance nurses knowledge and describes how mobile technologies can be used for professional advocacy and networking opportunities.

The course will assist all nurses, regardless of their roles in clinical, academia, management, or research, to understand the foundational eHealth concepts related to nursing and quality health care.
