Reference Guide for People with Diabetes

Diabetes and its treatment will be your constant companions and will most likely lead
you to experience certain emotions.

You may have felt some of them more intensely
when you were first diagnosed, when your treatment changed, when you were
hospitalized or when you developed complications. Always remember: there are no
good or bad emotions.

Acknowledging your emotions leads to greater self-understanding and enables the
professionals caring for you to do so more effectively.
