Virtual Learning Series

We are not currently offering Champions training in this format. Please click here on ways you can become a Champion.

The Best Practice Champions Network created a virtual learning series based on the curriculm delivered at the in-person champion workshop. The series consists of three modules using a hybrid approach, including live and archived webinars. This series can be completed individually or as a group within your workplace.

Similar to the in-person workshop but in a modular format, participants are introduced to Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs) and how to implement them using RNAO's Toolkit: Implementation of Best Practice Guidelines, Second Edition.

  • Module 1 (45 minutes, archived): Introduction to BPGs, Champions Network and the role of the Best Practice Champion.
  • Module 2 (3 hours, live): Identify, review and select knowledge; adapt knowledge to the local context, stakeholders and resources (Chapters one and two of the Toolkit). Assess barriers and facilitators to knowledge use; select tailor and implement interventions and strategies (Chapters three and four of the Toolkit).
  • Module 3 (45 minutes, archived): Monitor knowledge use and evaluate outcomes; sustain knowledge use (Chapters five and six of the Toolkit); personal action plan.

After each module, participants are expected to complete a series of reflections and activities based on the content presented within the module. After completion of all three modules, participants will be awarded a certificate of achievement, added to the Best Practice Champions Network® database, and identified as a Best Practice Champion.

The Best Practice Champions Virtual Learning Series is offered every two months, throughout the year. Please check the events calendar for dates and time.
