The Agenda with Steve Paikin, TVO
“Mental Health Matters”

Recognizing that one in five people will experience a mental health challenge at some point in their life, and that many more Ontarians will have a loved one coping with mental illness, the team at The Agenda with Steve Paikin decided to create programming to educate the public and to help de-stigmatize this topic.

Steve Paikin is anchor of The Agenda with Steve Paikin, TVO’s flagship current affairs program. Previously, he was co-host of Studio 2, a nightly current affairs program that aired for 12 seasons, and Diplomatic Immunity, the network’s weekly foreign affairs program, which aired for eight. He is also the author of five books.

Sandra Gionas has been a producer for TVO since 1996. She worked at Studio 2, a current affairs program, and then as a producer for More 2 Life, a daily call-in show on TVO. She's worked for The Agenda as a producer since 2007.

Wodek Szemberg is a senior producer for TVO. He was the series producer of the network’s Big Ideas and Best Lecturer Competition.

Daniel Kitts is a producer and online editor for TVO. He has been with the network since 1999. For seven seasons, he was a producer on the current affairs program Studio 2, and for four of those seasons, he also worked on Diplomatic Immunity.

Allison Buchan-Terrell is currently policy and communications assistant to Toronto City Councillor Jayne Robinson. Previously, she was a producer at The Agenda with Steve Paikin.

Matthew Campea is a producer and director with expertise in documentaries. For the past year, he has produced web-exclusive short documentaries for TVO.
