The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) is requesting proposals from interested and eligible long-term care (LTC) homes located in Ontario, to work in collaboration with the RNAO in implementing and evaluating multiple clinical nursing best practice guidelines (BPG), and disseminating knowledge from their experiences and outcomes with guideline implementation. This initiative is being carried out in conjunction with the Long-Term Care Best Practices Program, supported by funding from the Government of Ontario.
This request for proposals (RFP) is exclusive to LTC settings to select and support a new cohort of LTC-BPSOs. Successful applicants will initially enter into a formal three (3) year agreement with RNAO from 2017-2020.
Proposal information sessions will be held on Oct. 17 and Oct. 27. Sessions will describe the Best Practice Spotlight Organization® (BPSO) designation program, the process for becoming a LTC-BPSO, including eligibility requirements and specific supports provided to ensure successful engagement of LTC homes in the BPSO initiative – both in the initial three years, and beyond. A current LTC-BPSO will share their experience.
Interested leaders can register for either one of these sessions:
Applicants who are intending to submit a proposal are asked to forward an electronic letter of intent by Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at 4:00 pm EST indicating that the LTC home understands the requirements of the RFP and a brief description of the level of organizational support. Submit letter of intent to the attention of Ms. Heather McConnell, Associate Director through the LTC-BPSO team at LTCadmin@RNAO.ca. The letter of intent should include:
Those organizations submitting a letter of intent will receive instructions to access the online proposal application, which is due on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at 4:00 pm EST. Please direct any questions to the email address above.
