We want to offer more choice to our members.
RNAO's Board of Directors (BOD) changed its policy for membership in the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
Beginning November 1, 2014, RNAO members will have the option to decide whether or not their RNAO membership includes membership within the CNA, the country's national nursing body. We recognize the benefit of being part of a strong national professional body that represents the nursing profession and we will continue to encourage all RNAO members to belong to CNA, however, we believe the ultimate decision is up to individual members.
A month ago we issued an update to all members about this decision.
We have created a 'Questions and Answers' page for any queries that you may have.
To learn more, please read the RNAO president's view on "Making CNA membership a choice," which appeared in the May/June issue of Registered Nurse Journal.
We want to ensure we keep an open line for dialogue about the decision. Write to us or attend one of the upcoming webinars on the topic.
