This year marks our 14th Annual Queen's Park Day. Members take this opportunity to engage their elected representatives and watch the political process at work.
The format for Queen's Park Day has changed this year as meetings with individual MPPs are now taking place in their riding offices through our Queen’s Park on the Road initiative.
RNAO will host a breakfast for elected representatives in the Legislative Dining Room. We'll provide MPPs with information about our vision for nursing and health care and invite them to participate in our 15th Annual Take Your MPP To Work Event during Nursing Week in May.
Following breakfast will begin question period where we will see our elected officials in action and hear firsthand, about the pressing issues facing Ontarians.
In the afternoon, a presentation by the Procedural Services Branch will give RNAO members new insights into parliamentary procedures and how the committees work at Queen's Park.
The Premier, Minister of Health, Opposition Leaders and Opposition Health critics, will each address our Assembly to outline their nursing and health care priorities and answer questions from our members.
The agenda is full and the activities planned, are sure to result in a positive experience for participants.
