Urgent Action Alert to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff, NDP leader Jack Layton and Ontario MPs: You Can Still Save Lives, KEEP THE GUN REGISTRY!
Over 500 RNs from across Ontario wrote to PM Stephen Harper, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff, NDP Leader Jack Layton and other MPs urging them to keep a gun registry that is proven to save lives, particularly those of women and children. We have two more days and we need you to act now!
Wednesday, September 22, Members of Parliament will vote on a private member’s bill that could scrap the federal gun registry. This is in spite of the strong evidence from the RCMP that:

Much of the debate over the federal gun registry has focused on the so-called divide between rural and urban, north and south. But more and more Canadians from both rural and urban communities and from across the country agree that the gun registry is about health and keeping our homes, streets and workplaces safe for all.
