Three years ago, Newmarket RN Kathleen Boyd started working on the family health team (FHT) at Southlake Regional Health Centre. She was the team’s first RN, and wanted to gain more insight into the role of a primary care nurse by visiting other FHTs that already had an RN on board. She was surprised by what she found.
