Take Your Politician To Work

Each year during Nursing Week, we encourage RNs, NPs and nursing students to take part in our annual Take Your MPP To Work event.

As a result of the provincial election, RNAO has rebranded one of our signature political events known as Take Your MPP to Work™ to Take Your Politician to Work.

Taking your local nominated candidate to your workplace provides him/her with a first-hand look at the skills and expertise needed to provide high-quality health care to Ontarians.

Take Your Politician To Work kicks off the beginning of Nursing Week (May 7-13, 2018) and continues through to early June to ensure each politician has the opportunity to go to work with an RN or NP.

The event has enjoyed huge success with premiers, cabinet ministers, opposition leaders, politicians and backbench MPPs participating and joining RNs, and NPs as they work in hospitals, community health centres, family health teams, in long-term care, and during home care visits.

If you would like to participate in Take Your Politician To Work, please contact Peta-gay Batten (1-800-268-7199 ext 214) or email her pgbatten@RNAO.ca to learn more and to get involved in this popular advocacy event.
