Thank the government for announcing a public inquiry into the Wettlaufer case

On June 26, 2017, Elizabeth Wettlaufer was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years. On the same day, the government announced they are moving forward with an independent public inquiry into the circumstances around these tragic events.

RNAO demanded a public inquiry into the case immediately after Wettlaufer’s confession. Others have followed suit, including Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman. The formal public inquiry announced today by Health Minister Eric Hoskins and Attorney General Yasir Naqvi should provide much-needed answers for grieving families and for Ontario's health system.

Sign our action alert today to thank Minister of Health Eric Hoskins and Attorney General Yasir Naqvi for announcing a public inquiry into the circumstances in this case.

Copies will be sent to:

  • Hon. Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario
  • Ernie Hardeman, MPP for Oxford
