Want to enhance your nursing capacity in addictions and mental health? Look no further.
The Best Practice Champions Network® is expanding, and we want you to join!
We have released a Request for Workshop Host Site Applications. We are seeking organizations who are able to host a workshop and who are committed to facilitating workshop attendance from their staff and other nurses and health care professionals in the community
Workshops participants will learn about RNAO’s Best Practice Guidelines, specific to Addictions and
Mental Health issues. The session will include topics such as screening and intervention tools for clients with Addictions and Mental Health issues, and an overview on stigma, harm reduction and social determinants of health.
Learn how to:
- Utilize evidence-based nursing practices related to working with clients with Addictions and Mental Health issues
- Lead the integration of best practices within their organization
- Conduct a needs assessment and gap analysis in order to identify the practice change to be implemented
- Engage stakeholders
- Assess their organization’s readiness and develop a plan for implementing best practice recommendations in their work setting.
Interested organizations must be able to assist with workshop promotion, booking of workshop space and catering, and providing on-site logistical support. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, these workshops are offered completely free of charge to all interested participants.
