RNAO keeps the momentum going with Queen’s Park on the Road
This event allows RNAO members to meet directly with their MPPs in riding offices. Initially launched in the winter of 2013, members were thrilled with the opportunity to share RNAO’s Platform brochure, Why Your Health Matters, with over eighty representatives around the province.
RNAO members and MPPs talked about the hiring of 9000 new registered nurses, increasing the minimum wage, and closing Ontario’s remaining coal plants. All of the issues raised are available in our platform brochure Why Your Health Matters.
In an effort to continue the dialogue on important issues contained in our Platform brochure, we are calling on nursing leaders to sign up for a 1 hour meeting in their riding office this October.
We are committed to political engagement and value the opportunity to have positive working relationships with our elected representatives. We know the Ontario Legislature will be in session so meetings will need to occur on a Friday or during the constituency week (October 15-19).
