RNAO featured as one of four top organizations in Canada in the area of clinical practice guidelines
The momentum of Clinical Practice Guidelines in Canadian health care is unstoppable, and RNAO is pleased to be recognized by Health Council of Canada as being on the leading edge.
The Health Council has launched Understanding Clinical Practice Guidelines: A video series primer. These four videos offer an introduction to clinical practice guidelines (CPG) in the Canadian context through the eyes of those who design, disseminate, and use them.
Check out the video series primer to get an overview of the benefits and challenges of CPGs.
In a move RNAO supports, Premiers from across the country chose CPGs as an area for better collaboration amongst the provinces and territories.
In July 2012, the Council of the Federation’s Health Care Innovation Working Group selected two specific CPGs for adoption, and recommended that “provincial and territorial-specific deployment strategies” be developed within six months, working with clinical leaders.
