RNAO announces appointment of new Director of Communications
TORONTO, Jan. 9, 2006 – The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) is delighted to announce the appointment of Marion Zych as its new director of communications.
Ms. Zych comes to RNAO with 17 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism, most recently as a producer with the Toronto edition of CBC’s Canada Now. Throughout her career, she has also served in a number of positions at CBC television and radio, and produced a 10-part documentary series on the Aboriginal Peoples of Saskatchewan that won a 1990 B’nai Brith Human Rights Media Award. Prior to joining the CBC, Ms. Zych was a reporter for CKOC News in Hamilton and the London Free Press.
“Marion will be an incredible asset to RNAO,” says RNAO executive director Doris Grinspun. “Her vast knowledge of media will help us continue to speak out for nursing and health care in an effective and relevant way.”
