Access to OHIP for all residents of Ontario

In Ontario, 500,000 people are denied health coverage due to their immigration status. As a result, people have died and the province has accumulated unnecessary and high-cost health complications.

United with other organizations, RNAO is supporting the OHIP for All campaign and urging the Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long-Term Care to develop a comprehensive government policy that ensures access to OHIP for all residents, regardless of immigration status.

RNs, NPs and nursing students are committed to human dignity, inclusivity, equity and social justice. That’s why we’re asking you to sign the OHIP For All open letter and join the movement.

For more information, please read our letter to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care.
