Managing Urinary Incontinence
A decision-aid booklet has been developed to help women that experience urinary incontinence.
Join us October 2 for this education event for women in Burlington to better understand their options.
Urinary incontinence is a common complaint experienced mostly by women over 40. Symptoms arise when a sufferer coughs, laughs, sneezes, or jogs or when there's not enough time to reach the washroom.
This is a sometimes humiliating and often distressing problem and this can have a major effect on a person's quality of life. Together with this, evidence suggests that many women don't seek help for their bladder problems.
RNAO responded to this issue by organizing a team of researchers, led by Jennifer Skelly and Tazim Virani, to investigate the issues surrounding urinary incontinence.
Backed by funding from the Ontario government and Echo: Improving Women's Health in Ontario, the team produced a vital resource.
