This Annual General Meeting promises to be both informative and enjoyable for all members and student associates who attend; a wonderful opportunity to network with your peers.
The AGM is your chance to see your association at work for you. All RNs who are members of RNAO are invited to attend. Hear an overview of the year's achievements and help shape what priorities lie ahead. More than a dozen RNs from every facet of our health-care system will be recognized from those who work directly with patients to RNs working in administration as well as those working to shape the future of the nursing profession in education and research.
One member, one vote
Once again members will have the opportunity to vote on governance items and candidates running for election. Find out more about the candidates that are running and other items you are eligible to vote on. Voting will take place online beginning on April 15 at 12 noon (EDT) and ending on April 30 at 12 noon (EDT). Results will be announced at RNAO’s AGM on May 2.
For more information, visit the One member, one vote page.
Resolutions will be discussed by a group of members called 'consultation representatives'. Representatives were formerly known as 'voting delegates'.
Consultation Representatives will find the folder with the material they require, here.
Each year, the association releases its annual report. It contains a message from the president and the chief executive officer, the association's financial statements and a list of the year's main accomplishments.
Each year, we honour members who have contributed to the nursing profession in research, administration, education, and clinical practice. There are also awards for nursing students, chapter of the year and interest group of the year. We also honour outstanding journalism that contributes to a better understanding of our health system.
RNAO now exclusively uses an online AGM registration system for this event.
Please note that any room sharing is to be organized by individual attendees, due to the volume of attendance at this event, RNAO cannot assist in this process. All costs associated with accommodations for general members are at the cost of the attendee.
