This guideline has been developed to address the question of how to assess and manage patients with established diagnosis of diabetic foot ulcers.

It will provide direction to practicing nurses (RNs and RPNs) who provide care in all health care settings to patients (>15 years old) with type 1 and/or type 2 diabetes who have diabetic foot ulcers.
