Increasing numbers of nurses are using mobile devices and apps as tools to assist in daily clinical care. Nurses are using their own smartphones to communicate with patients and other health professionals via text or email. Apps are being used to identify pills, to calculate medication dosage, for clinical decision support and to record notes relevant to patient care.
