Chris Haromy is a Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Educator at The Ontario Lung Association.
Early in his career he worked as a staff Respiratory Therapist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He then switched his focus to patient education, working at the Asthma Society of Canada for seven years. For the last 11 years he has developed and provided patient education programs with The Ontario Lung Association. This webinar will focus on the respiratory impacts of smoking, including examining how smoking impacts lung health across the lifespan. An overview of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) will be presented and a case study will be included to illustrate related pathophysiology. Lastly, Chris will discuss the patient education programs that are available through The Lung Association.
