Join us Thursday for our Stakeholder Reception and Opening Ceremonies.
Be sure to join us on Saturday for the various interest groups meetings and the closing keynote presentation. This year's event will feature a panel of guests discussing the federal government's new assisted dying law and how it affects your nursing practice.
The panel will be moderated by Globe and Mail columnist André Picard and includes:
- Dr. Dirk Huyer, Chief Coroner for Ontario
- Sally Bean, Ethics Centre and Policy Advisor at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
- Dr. Deborah Bournes, Chief Nursing Executive and Vice-President of Clinical Programs at The Ottawa Hospital
- Maureen Taylor, Physician Assistant and the widow of Dr. Don Low, who advocated for the right to take his own life while battling a terminal illness.
*Please note a change in the lineup from previous AGMs for Thursday evening. The opening ceremonies will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by a wine and cheese reception from 7:10 to 8:15 p.m.
One member, one vote
Once again members will have the opportunity to vote on governance items and candidates running for election. Find out more about the candidates that are running and other items you are eligible to vote on. Voting will take place online for approximately two weeks leading up to the AGM. Results will be announced at RNAO’s AGM.
Each year, the association releases its annual report. It contains a message from the president and the chief executive officer, the association's financial statements and a list of the year's main accomplishments. The annual report will be released leading up to the AGM.
RNAO now exclusively uses an online AGM registration system for this event.
Please note that any room sharing is to be organized by individual attendees, due to the volume of attendance at this event, RNAO cannot assist in this process. All costs associated with accommodations for general members are at the cost of the attendee.
There are no more rooms available at the Hilton or the Chelsea Hotel under the RNAO room block.
Please email Grace Wong, event planner, at gwong@RNAO.ca should you have any questions regarding the hotel.
