There are four areas this Best Practice Guideline focuses on:

(1) Practice Recommendations directed at the nurse
(2) Education Recommendations directed at the competencies required for practice
(3) Organization and Policy Recommendations directed at practice settings and the environment in order to facilitate nurses’ practice
(4) Evaluation and monitoring indicators.
