About this Guideline:

The first edition Person- and Family- Centred Care (2015) guideline is designed to apply to nurses and other members of the interprofessional health-care team to enhance the quality of their partnerships with individuals accessing care. These partnerships ultimately aim to improve clinical outcomes and the person’s and family’s experiences of health care through the use of evidence-based person- and family-centred-care practices.

The second edition will replace previous editions of the Person- and Family-Centred Care (2015), Therapeutic Relationships (2002 with 2006 supplement) and Strengthening and Supporting Families through Expected and Unexpected Life Events (2002 with 2006 supplement).
