Nursing Database Developer

The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) is currently recruiting one full-time Nursing Database Developer to provide support to the Long-Term Care Best Practices Program for up to 3 months.
In this role you will develop an electronic contact and data collection system that is used by the Long-Term Care Best Practices Program to capture activities. This will include existing contact information and program structure, process and outcome indicators. You will work collaboratively with the RNAO Information Management and Technology department and Long-Term Care Best Practices Program staff.
Successful candidates will have a strong nursing background necessary to identify, understand and implement the required processes to capture data to produce relevant, informative, and useful reports for the management of the Long-Term Care Best Practices Program. Demonstrated, in-depth understanding of evidence-based nursing practice and experience developing nursing databases is essential. Knowledge and experience with PHP and Drupal is required. Knowledge and experience with CiviCRM is an asset. In addition, knowledge of quality improvement methods and/or performance measurement in health care is an asset. A Masters degree in nursing or a related field is required.
The position is full-time for up to 3 months, on-site, located at the RNAO Home Office at 158 Pearl Street, Toronto.
