The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is asking Ontario health-care providers to stay informed and vigilant to help prevent the spread of measles and Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). Several cases of measles have recently been confirmed among Ontarians who have travelled abroad, while a growing outbreak of EVD has emerged in West Africa. In light of these events, the ministry is distributing updated clinical information about measles, and reminding health-care professionals to routinely ask patients if and where they have travelled.
